The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is located on the campus of the Texas Medical Center and is one of 40 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers.

MD Anderson has 26 multidisciplinary care centers that provide integrated cancer care. Multidisciplinary care centers incorporate physical locations and organizational concepts, which were created to provide patient care services for a particular disease site. Clinicians in all oncologic and supporting specialties work together to plan and implement multimodality therapies. The Cancer Prevention Center at MD Anderson provides comprehensive cancer screening services, including cancer risk assessment, screening exams based on age and gender, personalized risk reduction strategies, genetic testing, chemoprevention, tobacco cessation, and nutrition counseling.
