City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center is an independent biomedical research, treatment and education institution dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and cure of cancer and other life-threatening diseases. City of Hope provides expert care for patients with cancer from prevention and screening to treatment and rehabilitation.

City of Hope is one of 40 Comprehensive Cancer Centers designated by the National Cancer Institute and is a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). It has also been designated an islet cell transplant center by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). JDRF islet cell transplant centers are programs at select institutions that enable scientists and clinicians to collaborate and transform new ideas into treatments.

Founded in 1913, City of Hope is a pioneer in the fields of bone marrow transplantation and genetics as well as a leader in in urologic robotic procedures.
